Education Above All Foundation Condemns Attacks on Gaza Schools

Doha:

The Education Above All Foundation (EAA) has condemned the recent attacks on schools in Gaza, calling them "grave violations of international law." The EAA also called for a thorough investigation into the attacks and for those responsible to be held accountable.

The EAA's statement comes in the wake of two separate attacks on UNRWA schools in Gaza. On Saturday an airstrike on the Al Fakhoora school killed at least 44 people, including 20 children. The following day, an airstrike on the Al-Falah school killed at least 11 people, including six children.

The EAA said that the attacks were part of a "distressing pattern of systematic and deliberate targeting of civilians and vital civilian infrastructure." The foundation also noted that it has been a partner of UNRWA in providing safe education for children in Gaza for many years.

The EAA's call for accountability is echoed by other human rights groups. Amnesty International has called for an independent investigation into the attacks, while Human Rights Watch has said that the attacks may amount to war crimes.

The United Nations has also condemned the attacks. In a statement, the UN Secretary-General said that he was "deeply shocked and saddened" by the loss of life.

The attacks on Gaza schools have been widely condemned by the international community. They are a reminder of the devastating impact of conflict on civilians, especially children.

The EAA's call for accountability is important. It is vital that those responsible for these attacks are brought to justice. Only then can there be any hope of ending the cycle of violence in Gaza.
