Florida Associate Head Coach Dudley Hart Named Team USA Assistant Coach for 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup.

Gainesville, FL – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Tuesday that Florida men’s golf associate head coach Dudley Hart has been named an assistant coach for Team USA for the 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup.
Hart joins a long list of Gators to play in the prestigious event, including head coach J.C. Deacon who was the head coach of Team International in 2021.
This marks the fourth straight event that Florida will be represented, as last year, Fred Biondi helped lead Team International to victory and was the first-ever Brazilian to participate.
Hart is the 13th overall Gator to partake and eighth in the since 2020 (Ricky Castillo and Yuxin Lin played twice in 2020).
“I’m incredibly honored to be named an assistant coach for Team USA at the Arnold Palmer Cup,” Hart said. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent my country and coach some of the best collegiate golfers in the world. I’m looking forward to working with Team USA and helping them compete for the Palmer Cup trophy.”
The Arnold Palmer Cup was co-founded by Arnold Palmer and the GCAA in 1997. A Ryder Cup-style tournament, the event features the top men’s and women’s collegiate golfers. Co-ed since 2018, it is one of the only events in the sport of golf that features men and women competing side-by-side.
“We’re thrilled to have Dudley on board as an assistant coach for Team USA,” said GCAA Executive Director Ryan Bradsher. “He’s a proven winner and a great mentor to young golfers. I know he’ll be a valuable asset to the team.”
The 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup will be held at Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains, France, from December 15-17.
Dudley Hart is in his third season as the associate head coach for the Florida men’s golf team. He was named the 2023 National Assistant Coach of the Year after helping the Gators win their fifth national championship and 16th SEC championship.
Prior to joining the Gators’ staff full-time, Hart was a volunteer assistant coach from 2017-20. He played his college golf at Florida from 1989-92, helping the Gators win two SEC championships and reach the NCAA Championships all four years.
The Arnold Palmer Cup is a Ryder Cup-style competition featuring the top collegiate golfers from the United States and Europe.
The event was co-founded by Arnold Palmer and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) in 1997. The 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup will be held at Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains, France, from December 15-17.
