Google AdSense simplifies adding new sites for search ads, but existing sites need approval by August 30th, 2024. Don't miss the deadline!

Good news for publishers! Google AdSense is streamlining the way you make money with search ads on new websites. But hold on to your hats, there's a twist (and a deadline).
As of March 4th, 2024, a new "site-level approval process" kicks in for AdSense for Search (AFS) and Programmable Search Engine (ProSE).
Here's the skinny:
Adding Your Site is Easy:
Want to sling those sweet, sweet search ads on your brand new website? Simply add it to the "Sites" tab in your AdSense account.
But First, Get Approved:
Google will check to make sure you actually own the site or can edit the content (no funny business!). They'll also make sure your site follows the rules – both AdSense's and Google Publisher policies in general.
Ready. Set. Earn! Once your site gets the green light and is marked "Ready," you can unleash the power of AFS ads and start raking in that dough.
Hold Up, There's More:
Google is rolling out this update in phases, so don't panic if you don't see it right away. Here's the need-to-know for existing sites:
Existing Sites Get a Grace Period:
Any websites already rocking AFS should automatically show up in your "Sites" tab. You've got until August 30th, 2024 to get them officially approved. Ads will keep running in the meantime.
Don't Miss the Deadline:
If you miss the August 30th deadline for submitting your existing sites for review, Google will hit the pause button on your AFS ads until your site gets the thumbs up.
What's the Point?
This new system aims to make it smoother for publishers to monetize their fresh websites. Google also highlights their commitment to keeping the ad network "clean and fair" with this update.
Adding new sites for AFS and ProSE ads is easier than ever, but don't forget to get them approved by August 30th to avoid an ad-pocalypse on your existing sites.
