SÃO PAULO, Brazil – August 28, 2024:

Scala Data Centers, a leading Latin American platform of sustainable data centers, and Serena, a global leader in clean energy investments, have announced the largest renewable energy supply agreement in Latin America. This partnership will expand Scala's already fully renewable energy portfolio, providing wind power to meet the demands of Hyperscale data centers, including mixed AI workloads.

The renewable energy will be sourced from the Assuruá 4 and Ventos da Bahia 3 wind farms, both located in the state of Bahia, Brazil. With a total installed capacity of 393 MW, these wind farms will significantly increase Scala's access to clean energy. Scala will also hold a stake in these assets, further solidifying its commitment to sustainability.
