The MINI John Cooper Works (JCW) Team is poised to make a significant impact at Road America as they enter Week 5 of the 2024 SRO TC America series. Riding high on the momentum of a dominant performance at Virginia International Raceway, where they clinched five podium finishes including a race victory, the team is brimming with confidence.
The Wisconsin track holds special significance for the MINI JCW team, having secured four podiums there last year, including a coveted first-place finish. Team principal Luis Perocarpi expressed optimism about the team's chances, stating, “We had tremendous success at Road America last season, and we have a strong plan in place for our talented group of drivers.”
The team's driver lineup for the weekend includes Cristian Perocarpi and Scott Thomson in the Touring Car (TC) class, and P.J. Groenke and Bruce Myrehn in the Touring Car A (TCA) class. To add a unique touch, MINI USA will once again feature a special rooftop graphic on Perocarpi's car, a distinctive element that pays homage to the brand's iconic design heritage.
Beyond the driver lineup, the MINI JCW team is receiving invaluable support from three MINI dealer technicians who are joining the crew as part of the MINI Technician Race Crew Program. These skilled technicians will contribute their expertise to the team throughout the race weekend.
