The Academy of Math and Science (AMS) Schools are making a significant impact on their communities by hosting Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations across six Arizona campuses. These events aim to honor Hispanic culture, foster a sense of belonging, and strengthen community ties.
Earlier this month, the AMS South Mountain campus kicked off the festivities with a series of events that featured local vendors, Mariachi and Folklorico performances, and partnerships with organizations like Phoenix Rising. This collaborative approach not only enriched the celebration but also provided students with opportunities to connect with their community and learn about different cultures.
AMS has a history of organizing engaging Hispanic Heritage Month events. Past celebrations have included Loteria nights at the AMS Desert Sky and AMS Peoria Advanced campuses, offering a fun and interactive way for students and families to participate.
To ensure that everyone can join in the festivities, AMS is inviting the public to attend their upcoming Hispanic Heritage events at the AMS Flower, AMS Camelback, and Math and Science Success Academy (MASSA) campuses.
