New York City, NY, USA - September 5, 2024:

Boldyn Networks, a leading provider of wireless infrastructure solutions, has successfully launched a 5G wireless network throughout the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's (MTA) 42nd Street Shuttle line. This groundbreaking initiative ensures that riders of Verizon Wireless, AT&T, and T-Mobile will now have uninterrupted cell service in one of the city's busiest underground transportation routes.

The 42nd Street Shuttle line, which connects Times Square to Grand Central Station, carries approximately 100,000 daily riders. The new 5G network will provide these commuters with reliable and high-speed wireless connectivity, enhancing their overall transit experience.

"This is a significant milestone in our ongoing project to modernize the New York City subway system with robust wireless coverage," said Christos Karmis, CEO of Boldyn Networks, US. "We are committed to delivering a seamless and connected experience for riders, and this 5G deployment is a major step in that direction."

The network is designed to provide seamless connectivity for all tier-1 mobile carriers, ensuring that riders can stay connected even during peak commuting hours. Additionally, the network will prioritize bandwidth for first responders, ensuring reliable communication during emergencies.

"We are excited to collaborate with Boldyn Networks and the MTA on this transformative project," said John Gallup, Verizon Executive Director of Wireless Network Engineering and Operations for NY. "Our goal is to keep New Yorkers connected wherever they are, and this expansion is another testament to that commitment."

The project is part of a larger initiative to equip the entire New York City Subway system with robust wireless coverage. This will improve the transit experience for millions of New Yorkers and visitors, making the subway safer, more accessible, and more tech-forward.
