Dubai, UAE – September 16, 2024:

Tourists visiting the United Arab Emirates can now enjoy a seamless arrival experience with the launch of a free instant eSIM offering 10GB of complimentary data. This innovative initiative by e&, formerly known as Etisalat, the UAE's largest telecom operator, aims to eliminate queues and provide convenient connectivity from the moment tourists land.

The "Free Visitor Line eSIM" can be self-activated upon arrival by simply scanning a QR code and completing a quick facial recognition step. This eliminates the need for visitors to wait in line for traditional SIM cards, allowing them to connect with loved ones, access essential services, and start exploring the UAE immediately.

"The introduction of a self-activation feature for our Free Visitor Line eSIMs is an important milestone in our journey towards digital transformation," said Khaled ElKhouly, Chief Consumer Officer, e&. "This exemplifies our commitment to innovation while reinforcing our dedication to providing exceptional convenience for our customers."

The 10GB of complimentary data included in the eSIM provides sufficient data for tourists to navigate unfamiliar locations, access online resources, and share their experiences on social media. This eliminates the need for visitors to worry about roaming charges or purchasing additional data packages.

The launch of the free eSIM is the latest example of the UAE's commitment to providing a world-class tourism experience. This initiative, combined with the country's stunning attractions, luxurious accommodations, and rich cultural heritage, is expected to further attract tourists from across the globe.
