The 2024 Global Citizen Festival concluded with a resounding success, securing $1 billion in commitments to address global poverty, environmental issues, and inequality. The annual event, held in Central Park, New York City, drew a crowd of 60,000 attendees who were inspired by powerful performances from top music artists and impactful speeches from world leaders, philanthropists, and business executives.
A highlight of the festival was the announcement of a partnership between FIFA and Global Citizen to combat extreme poverty and promote access to sports and education worldwide. This collaboration will culminate in the first-ever FIFA World Cup™ final half-time show at MetLife Stadium in 2026. Additionally, the partnership will include the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, a new competition featuring 32 clubs from six continental confederations.
The festival also featured a stellar lineup of musical performances, including sets from Benson Boone, Jelly Roll, RAYE, LISA, Rauw Alejandro, ALOK & The Future Is Ancestral, Doja Cat, Chris Martin & Ed Sheeran, and Post Malone.
