The video platform announced at its Made on YouTube event that creators will soon have access to features like generating six-second Shorts videos with text prompts and creating digital "jewels" for live streamers.

The centerpiece of the announcement is the integration of Google DeepMind's Veo video generation model into YouTube Shorts.
