Barcelona, Spain – October 23, 2024:

In a move designed to enhance efficiency and reduce turnaround times in the aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) sector, ATS Technic and Proponent have announced a strategic partnership. This collaboration aims to strengthen the global MRO supply chain by combining ATS Technic's maintenance expertise with Proponent's extensive parts distribution network.

The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), will see Proponent serve as the primary supplier of aircraft parts, components, and consumables for ATS Technic's upcoming base maintenance hangar at Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC). This strategic alliance is expected to streamline logistics, optimize inventory management, and ensure the timely delivery of essential components.

ATS Technic, the UAE's first independent EASA-certified MRO provider, and Proponent, a leading independent aircraft parts distributor, have identified significant synergies in their operations. By leveraging Proponent's global reach and ATS Technic's technical capabilities, the partnership is poised to deliver enhanced value to customers worldwide.

Mahdi Altahaineh, CEO of ATS Technic, emphasized the importance of this collaboration in achieving the company's goal of providing world-class MRO services. "This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to optimize the supply chain for our clients," he stated. "By designating Proponent as our primary parts supplier at DWC, we will ensure that our operations are supported by a robust logistics network, enabling us to reduce turnaround times and improve overall service efficiency."

Jeff Nixon, CCO of Proponent, echoed Altahaineh's sentiments, highlighting the company's commitment to providing tailored solutions to meet ATS Technic's specific needs. "We worked closely with ATS Technic to identify their key challenges and develop solutions that would help them streamline their operations and improve their service delivery," Nixon explained.

The non-binding MOU was signed during the 2024 MRO Europe event in Barcelona, Spain. This industry-leading event attracts thousands of attendees from airlines, lessors, MROs, OEMs, suppliers, and industry experts, providing a platform for networking and collaboration. ATS Technic's participation in the event underscores its commitment to staying at the forefront of the MRO industry.

As the aviation industry continues to evolve, partnerships like the one between ATS Technic and Proponent are becoming increasingly essential. By combining their strengths and expertise, these two companies are paving the way for a more efficient and effective MRO supply chain, ultimately benefiting both airlines and passengers alike.
