Cupertino, California, USA – October 2, 2024:

In celebration of World Teachers' Day (Oct 5), Apple announced a significant expansion of its education initiatives, including new professional learning resources for educators and a major growth in its global education grant program.

Apple is committed to fostering creativity in learning. On Tuesday, they launched new "Everyone Can Create" resources for teachers. "Creative Activities" offer quick, interactive lesson ideas designed to spark imagination and integrate seamlessly into existing lesson plans. Available across age groups, these activities promote essential skills and student engagement.

Understanding the importance of effective technology integration, Apple offers the "Apple Education Community," a platform where educators can connect, share ideas, and access professional learning resources. This week, the platform welcomes 16 new countries and regions, expanding its reach to even more educators. Additionally, Apple Learning Coach, a program empowering educators to optimize Apple products in the classroom, is expanding its reach with new lessons and wider language availability.

Apple's commitment extends beyond resources. Through grants and programs, they partner with schools and organizations worldwide to provide technology access, educational opportunities, and workforce preparation training. This includes the Community Education Initiative, dedicated to under-resourced communities. In the past year alone, Apple has partnered with nearly 40 new education partners across several countries.

Apple's newly released Education Impact Report details the company's decade-long efforts. Over the past five years, more than 10,000 teachers have participated in professional development training through Apple grants, impacting nearly half a million students. Apple currently supports over 200 schools and continues to expand its network.

CodeDoor, a company providing coding and workforce training for migrants in Germany, exemplifies the impact of Apple's partnerships. Their "Creators Program" utilizes Apple's "Everyone Can Code" resources to empower participants to design and present app solutions to community challenges.

In recognition of World Teachers' Day, Apple is celebrating educators through special collections on its services.  Apple Music curates learning-based playlists, Apple Books offers a selection of inspiring books about educators, and Podcasts highlight conversations by and for educators.

Throughout the world, Apple Stores are offering Group Reservations for teachers to book educational "Today at Apple" sessions for their students. These cover a range of topics from coding and creativity to maximizing the potential of Apple products.

Apple Park Visitor Center in Cupertino will host a special session for California educators titled "Go Further with iPadOS 18 for Education." This hands-on workshop featuring iPad Pro and Apple Pencil Pro will be led by certified Apple Learning Coaches.

Apple's dedication to education is evident in its expanding resources, grant programs, and partnerships. By empowering teachers, fostering creativity, and providing access to technology, Apple is investing in the future, preparing students to thrive in the digital world.
