The company's donation will benefit nonprofit partners and first responders, providing critical support for emergency shelter, food, water, and long-term rebuilding. Lowe's Chairman and CEO, Marvin Ellison, emphasized the company's commitment to helping those affected by the storm, especially in their home state of North Carolina.
To address immediate needs, Lowe's stores will host relief events in over 25 communities, distributing cleanup supplies. The company is also working closely with first responders to provide essential items like water, chainsaws, and generators.
In the aftermath of the storm, Lowe's activated its Emergency Command Center, mobilizing teams to coordinate relief efforts. The company was able to rapidly respond to community needs and reopen nearly all of its stores within a day. Lowe's continues to ship critical supplies to stores to meet customer demand, including generators, chainsaws, and other essential items.
To provide additional support to affected areas, Lowe's has deployed over 150 Emergency Response Team members to areas like Valdosta, Georgia; Lake City, Florida; and Western North Carolina.
