Lowe's Companies, Inc. is stepping up to aid communities devastated by Hurricane Helene. The home improvement retailer has pledged $2 million to support relief efforts, deploying additional supplies and over 150 associates to assist in recovery.

The company's donation will benefit nonprofit partners and first responders, providing critical support for emergency shelter, food, water, and long-term rebuilding. Lowe's Chairman and CEO, Marvin Ellison, emphasized the company's commitment to helping those affected by the storm, especially in their home state of North Carolina.

To address immediate needs, Lowe's stores will host relief events in over 25 communities, distributing cleanup supplies. The company is also working closely with first responders to provide essential items like water, chainsaws, and generators.

In the aftermath of the storm, Lowe's activated its Emergency Command Center, mobilizing teams to coordinate relief efforts. The company was able to rapidly respond to community needs and reopen nearly all of its stores within a day. Lowe's continues to ship critical supplies to stores to meet customer demand, including generators, chainsaws, and other essential items.

To provide additional support to affected areas, Lowe's has deployed over 150 Emergency Response Team members to areas like Valdosta, Georgia; Lake City, Florida; and Western North Carolina. These specially trained associates are providing extra customer support at impacted stores, allowing other associates to focus on their families.

Lowe's is also taking care of its employees, providing shower and laundry trailers, as well as portable toilets and handwashing stations in areas without water. The company is also shipping meals, water, and gas to associates in need.

To further support employees affected by the storm, Lowe's is expediting financial assistance through its Employee Relief Fund. The company is also doubling its match for associate donations, contributing $2 for every dollar donated through December 1.

Customers can also contribute to hurricane relief efforts by rounding up their transactions to the nearest whole dollar at Lowe's stores. These donations will support the American Red Cross's disaster relief efforts, including Hurricane Helene recovery.
