Verdagy, a pioneer in green hydrogen electrolysis, has officially launched its groundbreaking gigawatt-scale factory in Silicon Valley. This state-of-the-art facility is the first of its kind in the United States to receive support from the Department of Energy (DOE) for electrolyzer cell manufacturing. The factory's grand opening marks a significant milestone in the country's transition to a clean energy economy.

Verdagy's new manufacturing facility boasts a massive 100,000 square feet of space, capable of producing several gigawatts of electrolyzers. The company's innovative approach to manufacturing has enabled it to achieve electrolyzer stack costs that are five times lower than its competitors. This cost advantage is a result of advanced automation, a product designed for low cost and high reliability, and the integration of a domestically sourced nickel alloy into a high-volume, automated manufacturing line.

The "Coils-to-Cells" manufacturing process, developed in collaboration with ATI, involves starting with ATI's metal coils and producing finished electrolyzer cells through a vertically integrated process with minimal manual handling. This approach aligns with the DOE's goal of promoting domestic electrolyzer manufacturing supported by a domestic supply of metals.
