The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has introduced Artificial Intelligence (AI) employees powered by Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technology to revolutionize daily operations. This cutting-edge system, which combines machine learning with advanced content recognition, reduces task completion times from 24 hours to just two minutes.
Majid Sultan Al Meheiri, Director of IT at DHA, highlighted the groundbreaking potential of the technology:
“The system is transforming workflows, enhancing efficiency, and streamlining operations. DHA is proud to be the first organization to integrate this innovation into daily work.”
The DHA currently employs two RPA systems across ten services, with plans to expand by adding two more later this year. These virtual employees handle repetitive, rule-based tasks, enabling human staff to focus on creative and strategic roles.
For example, medical report validation, a process that previously required an entire day of manual effort, is now completed in two minutes using AI-powered content recognition. Similarly, HR tasks such as managing employee files and sending renewal reminders have been automated, freeing HR staff to prioritize more meaningful projects.
Al Meheiri explained that the RPA system, enhanced with AI capabilities, can analyze data, recognize patterns, and validate documents with precision. It even processes handwritten notes and scanned images. “These bots are scalable, adaptable, and operate seamlessly without human intervention, ensuring consistency and efficiency across DHA operations,” he said.
This integration of AI and RPA marks a significant step forward in Dubai’s ongoing commitment to innovation, demonstrating how technology can revolutionize routine tasks and elevate organizational efficiency.
