OpenText has officially launched OpenText Core Threat Detection and Response, a next-generation AI-powered cybersecurity solution designed to bolster enterprise security against evolving threats. The new solution is set to be generally available with Cloud Editions 25.2 and marks a significant expansion of OpenText’s cybersecurity portfolio.
OpenText Core Threat Detection and Response is deeply integrated with Microsoft Azure, leveraging Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Security Copilot to proactively stop cyber threats before damage occurs. It also features a threat integration studio, enabling enterprises to seamlessly ingest and analyze telemetry from various security tools, applications, and enterprise technologies.
As a leader in cybersecurity with over 7,500 global enterprise customers, OpenText aims to address a broad range of security challenges, including application and data protection, identity and access management, security operations, and digital forensics. The solution is designed to combat both external and insider threats, which remain a costly and persistent risk for organizations. According to the 2023 Cost of Insider Risks Global Report by Ponemon and Sullivan, insider-related incidents cost organizations an average of $16.2 million annually.
“Enterprises need a way to continuously adapt threat analysis to the unique behaviors of their organization without further straining security teams,” said Muhi Majzoub, OpenText EVP, Security Products. “OpenText Cybersecurity Cloud represents a significant leap forward in advanced threat detection and investigation, offering a solution that is easy to use, implement, and maintain.”
The new solution uses hundreds of AI algorithms to enhance threat detection and accuracy without requiring major security infrastructure overhauls. It features advanced anomaly detection that dynamically adapts to operating environments, significantly reducing response time. With machine learning models continuously evolving to improve detection accuracy based on unique organizational behaviors, OpenText Core Threat Detection and Response ensures organizations stay ahead of emerging threats. Its seamless integration with Microsoft and other security tools reduces setup complexity and accelerates threat response. By proactively hunting for threats, the solution helps organizations minimize their exposure to costly cyber incidents while maximizing the value of their security investments.
OpenText Core Threat Detection and Response is currently available in limited release to select customers, with broader availability expected soon. By integrating AI-driven threat intelligence with industry-leading security tools, OpenText is positioning itself at the forefront of enterprise cybersecurity innovation.
