Osaka, Japan — February 22, 2025:
Bandai Namco Holdings Inc. is gearing up to offer an out-of-this-world experience at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo with an attraction based on the beloved Mobile Suit Gundam anime series. Set in the year 2150, the experience will feature a future where mobile suits—humanoid robots—are used to collect space debris, offering a fascinating glimpse into the future of space exploration.
The attraction will transport visitors through a giant space station in eight unique rooms, where they’ll be enveloped in stunning high-definition imagery projected on screens as large as eight meters. Thanks to technology provided by Sony Corp., attendees will also feel physical sensations like impacts, adding an extra layer of immersion to the experience.
In anticipation of the Expo, Bandai Namco is set to display a 6.5-meter-tall monument featuring the arm of a full-scale Gundam statue at Grand Front Osaka from April 1 to 14. This will serve as a preview for the full-scale Gundam monument, which will be prominently displayed next to the pavilion during the Expo itself.
The Gundam attraction promises to be a thrilling combination of futuristic storytelling, cutting-edge visuals, and groundbreaking technology, offering visitors a chance to step into a world where space exploration meets giant robots.
