Seoul, South Korea — February 18, 2025:
LG Display has officially launched mass production of its 45-inch Gaming OLED monitor panel, boasting an ultra-high 5K2K resolution of 5120x2160, positioning the company to dominate the high-end gaming display market. This new panel delivers the world’s highest resolution for Gaming OLED monitors, promising exceptional picture quality and a top-tier gaming experience.
The 5K2K display contains around 11 million pixels, providing more than five times the pixel count of a Full HD panel. Its 1,300-nit brightness level enhances contrast and three-dimensional depth, ensuring vibrant, lifelike visuals. Featuring a gaming-specific polarizer, the monitor eliminates glare and light reflections, achieving perfect blacks in any lighting.
The panel also integrates LG’s proprietary Dynamic Frequency & Resolution (DFR) technology, allowing users to toggle between high refresh rate (330Hz) for fast-paced games and high resolution (165Hz) for stunning visuals in games, movies, and more.
With its 21:9 aspect ratio and large 45-inch screen, the monitor offers an immersive gaming experience and an ideal setup for multitasking. Additionally, the self-emissive OLED pixels emit half the amount of blue light compared to traditional LCD panels, reducing eye strain during long gaming or viewing sessions.
LG Display is set to further expand its lineup with Gaming OLED panels ranging from 27 to 45 inches, aimed at satisfying the needs of the rapidly growing high-end gaming market.
