Lifetech Resources proudly unveiled its state-of-the-art Solar Power Energy System on Tuesday, January 21, at the company's headquarters in Moorpark, California. This landmark event highlights the company's ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, marking a pivotal moment in its efforts to embrace renewable energy solutions.
The newly installed solar power system features 1,090 high-efficiency monocrystalline panels, generating a total capacity of 599.5 kW. With an annual output of 948,465 kWh, the system will offset 7,918.56 tons of CO2 emissions per year—equivalent to removing 42 cars from the road or conserving 18,330 barrels of oil annually.
Shaffiq Rahim, CEO of Lifetech Resources, expressed his enthusiasm for the event: “It was truly inspiring to see the support from our community and stakeholders as we unveil this groundbreaking technology. The celebration included speeches from Chairwoman Janet Carieri and CEO Shaffiq Rahim, along with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Local dignitaries from the office of Senator Henry Stern and Mayor Chris Enegren attended the event, presenting Lifetech with several prestigious certificates recognizing the company's environmental efforts.
Among the awards presented were a Certificate of Appreciation from the Board of Supervisors, 4th District, and a Certificate of Congressional Recognition from Congresswoman Julia Brownley. Mayor Chris Enegren and the City Council of Moorpark also honored the company with a Certificate of Recognition for its contributions to sustainable practices. Senator Henry Stern’s office presented a Certificate of Recognition in acknowledgment of Lifetech’s dedication to environmental sustainability.
Attendees enjoyed refreshments and networking opportunities as they celebrated this significant achievement. The installation of the Solar Power Energy System marks the first initiative launched by Lifetech's newly formed Sustainability Committee. The committee aims to implement innovative solutions that will reduce the company’s carbon footprint and contribute to global renewable energy efforts.
