Soyuz, Kazakhstan — February 25, 2025:
NASA will offer live broadcast coverage of the Progress 91 spacecraft launch and docking mission, which is set to deliver approximately three tons of essential food, fuel, and supplies to the crew aboard the International Space Station (ISS). This uncrewed mission, launched by Roscosmos, will help sustain ISS operations.
The launch is scheduled for 4:24 p.m. EST, Thursday, February 27, 2025, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan aboard a Soyuz rocket. NASA’s live coverage will begin at 4 p.m. EST on NASA+, its streaming platform.
Following the two-day journey to the ISS, Progress 91 will dock autonomously to the Zvezda service module at 6:03 p.m. EST, Saturday, March 1, 2025. NASA will begin its coverage of the docking event at 5:15 p.m. EST. The spacecraft will remain attached to the station for about six months, before departing to re-enter Earth's atmosphere and dispose of waste materials onboard.
The ISS has played a pivotal role in advancing space exploration, supporting over two decades of continuous human presence in orbit. This serves as a launchpad for future missions to the Moon and Mars under NASA's Artemis program.
