Hangzhou, China — March 11, 2025:

Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group announced that its AI-driven B2B platform, Accio, has reached a major milestone, surpassing 1 million users just five months after its launch. To further empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Alibaba introduced two new features—Business Research and Deep Search—designed to simplify global trade and sourcing.

Accio, leveraging Alibaba’s cutting-edge AI and the open-source Qwen large language model, is built to streamline global trade for SMEs. It provides precise market insights and tailored sourcing strategies by utilizing real industry data across multiple languages.

"We're just getting started," said Kuo Zhang, President of Alibaba.com. "Our goal is to continually refine Accio's features, allowing SMEs to integrate AI seamlessly into their business workflows." With enhanced AI tools, businesses can transform vague ideas into actionable plans within minutes, accelerating their market entry and business growth.

The Business Research feature automates key tasks such as market analysis, trend tracking, and consumer demand forecasting. SMEs can now receive real-time reports, uncover high-potential niches, and generate business plans complete with supplier recommendations and cost estimates.

Deep Search optimizes the global sourcing process by refining searches based on specific technical requirements, certifications, and budget constraints. It also vets suppliers for compliance and reliability, curating shortlists of trustworthy vendors. This helps newcomers source products efficiently, even with limited experience.

As global trade continues to grow, reaching an estimated $33 trillion in 2024, tools like Accio are essential for SMEs to stay competitive. Alibaba is incorporating these AI capabilities into its platform, which serves 50 million SME buyers and sellers, empowering businesses worldwide to seize new opportunities.
