PROVO, Utah — March 14, 2025:
Angel, the trailblazing film and TV tech platform powered by the Angel Guild, has announced it has reached a major milestone—surpassing one million paying Guild members worldwide. This achievement marks a pivotal moment for Angel as it continues to disrupt the traditional Hollywood model by allowing its members to directly vote on which movies and TV series make it to screens both large and small.
"Angel is all about empowering the audience," said Jeffrey Harmon, Co-founder and Chief Content Officer. "As CCO, I can’t greenlight any film unless it’s first approved by our Guild members. There are no exceptions. This level of transparency and audience involvement is fundamental to what we stand for."
Angel Guild members have an active role in the content creation process. They vote on everything from initial project concepts to completed films, making every Angel release audience-approved. As premium members, they also support these releases by using complimentary movie tickets and contribute to funding future films, all while enjoying full access to the platform's ever-growing library of content.
The growth of the platform has been swift—since the beginning of the year, Angel has posted 13 movies, 54 episodes, and numerous specials, helping to drive an influx of over 350,000 new members in February alone.
This direct involvement of members in decision-making has resulted in Angel films achieving the highest audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes—an impressive 93%. Recently, RULE BREAKERS achieved an A CinemaScore, a 97% PopcornMeter score, and an 81% Critics Score, underscoring the success of this community-driven model.
Looking to the future, Angel will release THE KING OF KINGS, an animated epic, starting April 11 across 40 international markets, with more markets to follow. Additionally, THE LAST RODEO is set for release by Memorial Day.
Angel’s innovative approach and the active role of its Guild members are reshaping the way films are selected, created, and distributed, proving that the future of entertainment belongs to the audience.
