A fire that broke out at the Aminbazar 400/230 kV Substation in Savar on Tuesday morning has been brought under control after causing significant damage. The fire, which started around 7:15 am, disrupted operations at this critical power grid, leading to immediate response efforts. Nine firefighting units were deployed to the scene, and the blaze was successfully contained by mid-morning, according to Jewel Mia, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station.

While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, authorities have been working swiftly to assess the extent of the damage. Power lines in several areas have already been restored, with efforts continuing to fully return the substation to normal operation. Officials are focusing on preventing any further disruptions to the power supply, and the situation is being closely monitored.

The substation is a key node in Bangladesh’s power network, and the timely response has minimized the potential impact on the broader power grid. Further updates will be provided as authorities complete their assessments and restoration work.
