This cutting-edge solution integrates 200G Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers (VCSELs) to enhance multimode optical connectivity, marking a significant advancement in short-reach transmission.
Operating at 212Gb/s per wavelength, Eoptolink’s new transceiver supports data-intensive applications, optimizing network efficiency for enterprises, cloud data centers, and AI/ML clusters. The device features two MPO-12 optical interfaces, each delivering 800G across four 212Gb/s lanes, providing a streamlined migration path for legacy multimode networks transitioning to next-generation switch platforms.
VCSEL technology at 850nm continues to dominate short-reach optical communications, and Eoptolink’s move to 200G per lane doubles the data rate compared to existing 106Gb/s solutions found in 400G SR4 and 800G SR8 transceivers. This leap in performance supports the growing demand for higher-speed, lower-latency data transmission in evolving IT infrastructures.
