Barcelona, Spain – March 4, 2025:
Huawei has introduced its AI-Centric Network solution at MWC 2025 in Barcelona, aiming to help telecom operators harness the transformative potential of AI. Yang Chaobin, Huawei Board Director and CEO of ICT Business Group, launched the solution, emphasizing how AI will redefine consumer experiences, business operations, and global connectivity.
Yang highlighted that the rise of high-quality, cost-effective AI models will accelerate application innovations, creating an intelligent world that demands more advanced network infrastructure. To seize this opportunity, telecom operators must enhance bandwidth, latency, coverage, and operational efficiency.
Speaking at the launch, Yang said Huawei’s AI-Centric Network solution is designed to meet these evolving needs. He explained that it revolutionizes network capabilities to enable all-domain connectivity, shifts toward application-driven O&M, and reshapes business models to fully leverage AI-driven opportunities.
He elaborated on the challenges operators will face as AI-powered applications become more prevalent and outlined how Huawei’s solution can help prepare them. AI will optimize network resource management, ensuring high-speed, reliable, and intelligent connectivity. The shift to application-driven operations and maintenance will allow predictive network management, improving efficiency and user experience. AI-centric networks will personalize bandwidth, latency, and reliability for various use cases, from individual users to large-scale public services like healthcare and education. As AI adoption grows, new business models will emerge, enabling telecom operators to shift beyond traditional traffic-based revenue streams and explore experience-driven monetization.
Huawei’s AI-driven network strategy aims to foster industry-wide collaboration, bringing telecom providers, enterprises, and technology leaders together to drive digital transformation. MWC 2025 runs from March 3 to 6 at the Fira Gran Via center in Barcelona, where Huawei is showcasing its latest solutions at booth 1H50 in Hall 1. As 5G-Advanced adoption accelerates, Huawei continues working with global operators to integrate AI into telecom infrastructure, shaping a more intelligent and connected future.
