WINDSOR, Wis. – April 13, 2025:
Bell Laboratories has unveiled the Mouse iQ, an innovative smart mouse trap powered by Bell Sensing Technologies, which integrates Bluetooth technology to transform rodent control practices for pest management professionals (PMPs). This advanced device enables technicians to monitor traps remotely, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and workplace safety.
The Mouse iQ utilizes Bluetooth to transmit real-time data to a PMP’s smart device, allowing for trap checks from distances of up to 100 feet. Its compact design facilitates strategic placement in areas frequented by mice, such as heat registers, drop ceilings, and rafters, ensuring targeted pest control.
A recent time study conducted at Bell’s 600,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and warehouse revealed that PMPs using iQ devices can achieve a 78% reduction in service time compared to those using traditional traps. This efficiency gain allows PMPs to dedicate more time to providing comprehensive pest control services and expanding their business operations.
Furthermore, the Mouse iQ significantly enhances workplace safety by minimizing the need for technicians to physically inspect traps in hazardous locations. By remotely checking traps, technicians can avoid crawling into confined spaces or climbing ladders, thereby reducing the risk of workplace injuries.
"Our vision for Bell Sensing Technologies is to change rodent control for the better by offering our PMP partners innovative products that bring them solutions for their most pressing challenges," stated Patrick Lynch, Bell’s Chief Commercial Officer and President of Bell Sensing Technologies. The Mouse iQ expands Bell’s iQ product line, which also includes smart rat and mouse bait stations, multiple-catch traps, and snap traps, all designed to leverage technology for improved pest management.
