Shanghai, China – April 19, 2025:
Horizon Robotics (9660.HK), a leader in smart driving solutions, officially unveiled its HSD (Horizon SuperDrive™) urban driving assistance system at its 2025 Annual Product Launch Event in Shanghai. The system, designed for mass production, is set to make its global debut in September 2025 through a strategic collaboration with Chery Automobile’s EXEED brand.
Built on Horizon's proprietary software-hardware co-optimization and powered by its Journey™ 6 processing platform, the HSD system delivers a human-like driving experience. Its end-to-end architecture mimics real-world driving behavior, offering safe, smooth, and reliable performance for both drivers and passengers.
To serve a wide spectrum of vehicle categories, Horizon introduced three HSD system variants, adaptable from entry-level to premium models. Central to this scalability is the newly unveiled "Horizon Cell"—a modular, plug-and-play hardware solution that enables manufacturers to switch between configurations without added cost, ensuring flexibility and ease of integration.
“Our vision is to make smart driving accessible and loved by everyone,” said Dr. Yu Kai, Founder and CEO of Horizon Robotics. “We want every vehicle to become a smart, reliable companion on the road.”
Horizon’s long-standing partnership with Chery—dating back to 2021—has powered over 100,000 smart vehicles using its Journey™ processors. The upcoming integration of the full-stack HSD system into a new EXEED model this September marks the global mass-production debut of Horizon SuperDrive™ technology.
Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Automobile, praised the collaboration, calling Horizon a “cornerstone partner” in the brand’s smart mobility push. “We share a deep commitment to technology, safety, and consumer trust,” he said.
Beyond Chery, Horizon Robotics is also expanding its collaboration with Volkswagen Group through their joint venture CARIZON, focusing on developing advanced driving systems based on HSD. Volkswagen models featuring CARIZON’s smart mobility tech are scheduled to begin production in 2026.
With over 310 design-wins and more than 200 smart vehicle models already in the market, Horizon Robotics has established a robust ecosystem that includes over 40 OEMs, covering all of China’s top 10 automotive manufacturers.
As smart driving transitions from premium to standard vehicle features, Horizon Robotics continues to deliver energy-efficient, cost-optimized, and human-centered mobility solutions, aiming to make safe and seamless smart driving a global reality.
