DHAKA, Bangladesh – April 15, 2025:
Global ICT leader Huawei organized a significant campus recruitment program at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) today, in Dhaka, aiming to provide promising career opportunities to approximately 300 fresh graduates from various engineering disciplines.
The recruitment event saw active participation from both Huawei officials and CUET faculty members. Representing Huawei were Md. Fara Newas, Senior HR Manager; Omar Heider Masfique Ahmad, HR Manager; and Md Khalid Hossain, Assistant HR Manager. CUET was represented by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shamsul Arefin, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical & Computer Engineering; and Dr. Mehedi Hasan Chowdhury, Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
The recruitment process involved an MCQ-based examination and interview sessions, with successful candidates set to receive offers to begin their professional journeys at Huawei. Prior to the screening, Md. Fara Newas conducted an informative session highlighting trends in the international and national telecom industry, as well as Huawei's significant roles and contributions within the sector.
Linxiao, HR Director at Huawei, emphasized the company's commitment to nurturing local talent, stating, “Through regular campus recruitment programs, we aim to offer fresh graduates valuable employment opportunities and support the country’s technological advancement. Dr. Mehedi Hasan Chowdhury, Associate Professor of the EEE Department at CUET, lauded the initiative, commenting, “Huawei’s campus recruitment program provided a valuable platform for our students to connect with a global ICT leader. It enhanced their understanding of industry expectations and offered a pathway to meaningful career opportunities.”
A participating student expressed their enthusiasm, saying, “If I get a chance to work with the ICT and telco industry leader, Huawei, it will be a significant start for my career. I heard from my seniors that Huawei is a performance-driven company. I am inspired and ready to build a fully connected intelligent Bangladesh.”
