Southlake, Texas, USA — April 4, 2025:
Pinnacle Mergers & Acquisitions, a nationally recognized auto dealership brokerage firm, has successfully facilitated the sale of Groove Ford and Groove Mazda in Denver, Colorado, to AutoNation, one of the largest automotive retailers in the United States. This strategic acquisition, brokered by Pinnacle on behalf of AutoNation, strengthens the company’s foothold in the rapidly growing Colorado automotive market.
The two dealerships will now operate under the names AutoNation Ford Arapahoe and AutoNation Mazda Arapahoe, marking a significant expansion of AutoNation’s presence in the region. “We are proud to once again support a leading national group in strengthening their presence in Colorado,” said Bill Scrivner, founder and CEO of Pinnacle Mergers & Acquisitions. “Our long-standing relationships, deep market experience, and unwavering commitment to our clients' goals have been the foundation of every deal we complete.”
This latest transaction further solidifies Pinnacle’s strong track record in Colorado, where it has facilitated several high-profile dealership transactions. Previously, Pinnacle represented Lithia Motors in acquiring Ferrari of Denver and John Elway Dealership Group in the purchase of Bentley and Lotus of Denver. More recently, Pinnacle also completed the sale of Groove Honda in Colorado Springs to Corwin Auto Group and Groove Subaru and Groove Toyota in Denver to Larry Van Tuyl of VT Companies—all involving Summit Automotive Partners.
The sale of Groove Ford and Groove Mazda to AutoNation reflects a larger trend of consolidation in the U.S. auto retail sector. As large dealer groups expand into key regional markets, they are better positioned to meet the evolving consumer demand and capitalize on shifting market dynamics. With dealership valuations remaining strong and high buyer interest, Denver’s metro area continues to be one of the most active regions in the country for automotive M&A activity.
Having completed more than 850 dealership transactions across the nation and facilitating $40 billion in completed deals, Pinnacle Mergers & Acquisitions is recognized as a trusted partner for both buyers and sellers in the automotive industry. The firm offers expert guidance and tailored strategies to maximize value and ensure long-term success in every transaction.
