Guangzhou, China – April 19, 2025:
The 137th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) has put the spotlight on smart mobility and green transportation, reflecting the accelerating global shift toward sustainable urban mobility solutions. Held in Guangzhou, the event highlights China's growing leadership in clean transport technologies, as the global electric vehicle (EV) market heads toward an estimated value of over USD 950 billion by 2030.
Among the standout exhibitors is Sinotruk, unveiling its HOWO Commander electric light truck, designed for both performance and sustainability. With a wide-body flat-floor cabin, dual-stage electric drive axle, rapid charging capabilities, and reinforced battery safety systems, the vehicle has already launched in Southeast Asia. A company spokesperson emphasized Sinotruk’s commitment to regional adaptation as part of its international growth strategy.
Nearby, GAC Group captivated attendees with three new EV models—Trumpchi S7, Hyper HL, and Aion UT—accompanied by futuristic smart infrastructure such as the GoMate intelligent robot, the A480 ultra-fast charging station, and a compact 7kW home charger. The immersive exhibit blended smart tech with lifestyle applications, drawing attention from global buyers across Europe, the Middle East, and South America.
Two-wheeled electric mobility also made a strong impression. Xiangjin (Tianjin) Cycle Co., Ltd. showcased its innovations during a themed launch event at the fair’s central stage, part of the Canton Fair New Collection—a platform dedicated to promoting design, tech, and product breakthroughs. Xiangjin introduced two premium electric bicycles featuring carbon fiber frames and fully integrated wiring. Targeting low-carbon urban lifestyles, the models merge sleek aesthetics with rugged, commuter-friendly functionality.
As demand rises for clean, connected mobility, the fair underscores how the convergence of electrification, digitalization, and materials innovation is reshaping transportation. From commercial trucks to smart charging systems and urban e-bikes, the Canton Fair is acting as a vital hub for global suppliers, buyers, and innovators to collaborate on the next chapter of mobility.
This year’s exhibition confirms that China is not only a manufacturing powerhouse but also an innovation leader in the global push toward a greener, smarter, and more connected transport ecosystem.
